Andy McCluskey, back to the school after 46 years.

On Friday 10th February, we welcomed Calday Alumni, singer, songwriter, musician and record producer Andy McCluskey back to the school after 46 years.

After leaving Calday in 1977, Andy teamed up with Paul Humphreys, who he met in primary school, forming Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark in 1978. After playing Eric’s in Liverpool, OMD went on to achieve global success selling over 40 million records.

Andy’s visit today is ahead of the official opening of The Michael Twist Centre, which he will be involved with on Thursday 2nd March 2023. During the visit, Andy reminisced about his time at Calday and shared stories with students and staff. We look forward to welcome Andy back soon.
